Pelvic Pain and Dysfunction Therapy
Pelvic floor issues in men affect more than the body, they affect the psyche. We want to assure you that we understand the specifics of male pelvic dysfunction. It is not a “women’s problem,” and it can cause real distress. One in six men will experience pelvic dysfunction in their lifetime, though not all will recognize it. Having an informed healthcare provider to turn to for help is important. RESTORE MOTION’s therapists have specific training to assist with associated problems ranging from musculoskeletal imbalance and erectile dysfunction to urinary and pelvic pain.
A thorough evaluation is the first step. The evaluation includes a health history, a review of your current status, and a physical examination. The physical examination includes range of motion, posture, strength and flexibility, among other tests, and may also include a detailed examination of pelvic muscles and tissues. After the evaluation, your therapist will develop a customized care plan and work with you and your doctor for best functional outcome.
